… is a cast film and is based on a GM-free cellulose, a renewable raw material.
The cellulose does not contain any endangered hardwoods; instead it comes from managed forests where more trees are planted than are felled almost every year.
The film is available in thicknesses of 30µ to 500µ, in both matt and glossy variants.
Diacetate film (cellulose): crystal clear, glossy
Properties: | Very high level of transparency, outstanding clarity and gloss, is always assembled with interleaf paper, is food-safe and compostable*². The film is cast from a dispersion of cellulose flakes. It displays no running direction or orientation. Softener is needed to attain the technical properties. |
Applications: | Viewing window film for folded boxes, artists’ and drawing supplies, laminating / lining film, optical applications, medical technology film, 3D glasses* in red, green and blue |
Thicknesses: | 30, 40, 50, 75, (80*), 95, 150, 180, 250, 300, 360 and 500 µm |
Form of delivery: | Max. web width: 1.220 mm, in exceptional cases also up to 1.300 mm
Max. blank: 1.200 x 1.500 mm |
Diacetate film (cellulose …): translucent, matt on one side
Properties: | Translucent due to being matt on one side, is assembled without interleaf paper, is food-safe and compostable*². The film is cast from a dispersion of cellulose flakes, it displays no running direction or orientation, softener is needed to attain the technical properties. |
Applications: | Artists’ and drawing supplies, laminating / lining film, optical applications, medical technology film |
Thicknesses: | 30, 40, 50, 100 and (150) µm |
Form of delivery: | Max. web width: 1.220 mm, in exceptional cases also up to 1.300 mm Max. blank: 1.200 x 1.500 mm |
* Information about coloured 80µm films can be found under Products & Applications / 3D film
*²: Film thicknesses ≤ 95 µm are compostable in industrial plants in accordance with EN 13432.
