PET film (polyester)

… characterised by their exceptionally good physical properties and their huge range of possible uess.

Biaxially orientated polyester film (BO-PET)

Properties: Optical: crystal clear, glossy, cloudy, milky white and white opaque, also with matt surface and with matt structure in volume. Physical: film is hard to brittle, thermally and dimensionally stable, can also be supplied as a food-safe film, film is free of softeners, suitable for thermal recovery or recycling.
Production: The film is cast on a cylinder and then stretched (extended) lengthwise and crosswise, hence its name “biaxially orientated” or BO-PET for short. It displays roughly symmetrical orientation in a lengthwise and crosswise direction.
Application: Carrier for photographic films and photopolymer plates, viewing window film for folded boxes, binding film for use in the office and bookbinding, OHP, photocopier and laser film, assembly film, carrier for coatings – laser film, inkjet film, drawing film; lining, plating and lamination, print medium for screen, offset or flexo printing, electric isolation film, carrier for flexible, printed circuits …
Thicknesses: 36, 50, 75, 100, 125, 175, 250, 300, and 350µm
(depending on optical properties)
Forms of delivery: Max. web width: usually 1.200 – 1.600 mm,
in exceptional cases also up to 2.500 mm, and/or depending on production options,
Max. blank: 1.300 x 1.550 mm
