Biaxially orientated polyester film (BO-PET)
| Properties: | Optical: crystal clear, glossy, cloudy, milky white and white opaque, also with matt surface and with matt structure in volume. Physical: film is hard to brittle, thermally and dimensionally stable, can also be supplied as a food-safe film, film is free of softeners, suitable for thermal recovery or recycling. |
| Production: | The film is cast on a cylinder and then stretched (extended) lengthwise and crosswise, hence its name “biaxially orientated” or BO-PET for short. It displays roughly symmetrical orientation in a lengthwise and crosswise direction. |
